    • Waddinxveen, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands
  • GreenV

As an Analytics Engineer, you will help build GreenV’s data foundation. You develop and maintain data models, transform raw data into meaningful information, and translate insights into dashboards.

Job description

About GreenV
GreenV is an international group of innovative horticultural companies working together to shape the greenhouses of the future. With data as a foundation, we continuously improve the services we provide to growers, partners, and internal teams. Our installations and systems generate vast amounts of climate, crop growth, and consumption data, which we want to use in increasingly intelligent ways.

As an Analytics Engineer, you play a key role in making this data accessible, reliable, and scalable.

The role
As an Analytics Engineer, you will help build GreenV’s data foundation. You develop and maintain data models, transform raw data into meaningful information, and translate insights into dashboards and reports that create direct value.

You operate comfortably between technology and business: you understand the context of growers, operators, and internal departments and know how to translate their needs into clearly structured datasets and visualizations.

What you will do

  • Develop, manage, and optimize data models and data pipelines.

  • Structure and enrich climate, crop growth, and consumption data from various sources.

  • Build dashboards and visualizations that turn complex data into clear, actionable insights for both internal teams and customers.

  • Establish consistent definitions, KPI frameworks, and semantic models.

  • Collaborate with domain experts, Data Engineers, and colleagues within the Data & Analytics team.

  • Contribute to a modern, future-proof data platform that can scale across all GreenV companies.

The team
You will be part of the Data & Analytics team, led from GreenV and supported by specialists from the operating companies. Together, you will develop a distinctive and scalable data domain that enables growth and innovation. Where necessary, we also work with external consultants.

While the Data Engineer focuses on data source integration and infrastructure, you are responsible for data modelling, semantic layers, and visualization.

Our ambition
Our ambition is to develop data-driven insights into a distinctive product for both internal and external stakeholders. This includes:

  • Early detection of diseases and pests.

  • Smarter climate and crop growth control.

  • More efficient processes and better decision-making.

  • Consistent and reliable data across all GreenV companies.

What we offer

  • The opportunity to work in a fast-growing, international, and innovative organization.

  • A role with significant influence on GreenV’s data landscape.

  • Plenty of room for your ideas, development, and professional growth.

  • Hybrid working is possible; the position is based in Waddinxveen, the Netherlands.

Job requirements

  • Experience with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Power BI, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Delta Lake, and Git.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly visualize complex data.

  • Experience with SQL and cloud environments; experience with Azure is a plus.

  • A proactive mindset and a natural ability to collaborate effectively with others.
